Hurt dog hit by car found cowering in cupboard in forest saved by dog rescuer who patiently convinced her with treats to come with her towards a better life: ‘I wish for her to know she has found something much better than she ever believed possible.’

More often than not dog rescues happen in a random moment. Be it walking along unwittingly or driving down a derelict highway, you do not see it coming but suddenly the rescue happens. However, our story actually begins with a Romanian dog rescuers regular rounds to put out food in places known for dog dumping when she happened upon our hurt doggo.

It is a truly twisted thing that there are pockets of the world where it is known that people regularly dump their doggos. But seeing as there is little that can be done to stop the dumping at least improving the conditions that they are dumped in a something we can control. And that is what this dog loving hooman was doing on this fateful day. Putting out food for and pawtential puppers who might be dumped there on that day. Little did our rescuer imagine that there would be a terrified pupper peeking out of a cupboard in just that area. Seemingly waiting for this rescuer to come along and save her.

But seeing as this doggo had been through a thing or two up until that point convincing her to come along in the cage her rescuer had prepawed was no simple task. It took time, attention and trust building to convince this doggo that it was safe for her to step into her new life and that she would not feel any more harm upon her. Eventually she gave in and proved that patience is the key to any pupper's heart and with enough of it, there is no dog that cannot be saved.

Goodness, what is this world coming to that a dog rescuer regularly goes around certain spots to leave food for puppers in hiding who have been abandoned there. It speaks to such a regularity of this happening that it is worthwhile having food there at all times in case a new arrival comes along at a moment’s notice. Which must be a very comforting thing for a rejected canine to come across. And hey, it is how this sweetheart was found, so it cannot be a bad thing that our rescuer does this. Just a little sad that it has to happen this way.

What a poor pupper she is. It is hard to say whether it was the injury which got her dumped or if she sustained it during or after the dumping but either way what a tough place to be in for this pupper. And no less at a moment’s notice having to put her trust in a hooman she had barely gotten to know. Something that must be almost inconceivable for a pupper who has recently been abandoned. But this rescuer is patient and knows that only with time and trust that this doggo will come along willingly.
